Are Pleated Air Filters To Restrictive?
« en: 29 de Octubre de 2011, 12:33:20 am »
there is a reason, and this will make sense as to why this is never the cause of a system to freeze up. Because a pleated air filter is more restrictive it has to have a way to pass more air. By making the filter zig zag the way it does, it creates more air surface. For example, if you were to take that filter and cut all the boarders off, then stretch it out, you would see that there is much more filter material there than a normal air filter. And the more dense the material, the more dirt it can filter out of your home or office. In fact, after servicing systems for the last 20 years, I have found that customers that replace their filters on a regular basis, and use good ones, we hardly find any dirt in their system.
